Ms. Smith, 63 passed away Saturday August 21,2021 at 12:13pm at Titus Regional Medical Center, Mount Pleasant, TX. She was born and raised in Neshoba County, MS, where she spent most of her life as a homemaker. She resided in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Her hobbies included dancing, puzzles, riding four wheelers, yard sales, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Philadelphia, MS.
Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her ex-husband Billy Dwight Smith, her father Edward Alexander. Paternal Grandparents - Flois and Mildred Alexander. Maternal Grandparents Walter and Ludie Huffmaster. Grandson - Braydon Traxler.
Survived by her children, daughter - Hope Houston (John) of Mount Pleasant, TX
Son - Chris Smith (Josie) of Philadelphia, MS
Mother - Patsy Pierce of Philadelphia, MS
Sisters - Alesia Alexander, Barbara Ward (Ronald), Gail Holly, Melody Clark, and brother Dale Clark all of Philadelphia MS.
A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her lifetime best friend, Jenifer McCrory, who has always been her sister.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
Cremation under the direction of Curry and Welborn Funeral home in Mount Pleasant, TX.
