Alice Jean Bell

Funeral service for Alice Jean Keller Bell, age 86, of Mt. Vernon, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Family and friends are welcome to come to the graveside service at the Milton Cemetery in Deport, TX after service. Alice passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was born on September 15, 1940, in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Warren and Velma Keller.

Everybody knew her as Nanaw. She brought warmth, laughter and kindness to all who knew her. She enjoyed sitting outside listening to the birds sing and visiting with her friends. She loved spending time with her family, sharing stories and making memories.

Jean is survived by her son Derek Burton, daughter Kimberly McNail, daughter in law Barbara Burton, brother Larry Keller (Becky), sister Sue Neal (Tom), 8 grandchildren; Kara Thompson (Clint), Kayla Randle (Chris), Kelby Burton (Candice), Kristen Luster (Kade), Peyton Lankford (Jacob), Jordan Bates, J’ianna Miller, Marc Miller, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Bell, parents Warren & Velma Keller, son Don Burton, grandson’s Jarron Bates, Chase Miller-Burton, brother’s Darrell & Tommy Keller, daughter in law Jennifer (Bo) McNail.
