Arthur Hooks

Arthur Ell Hooks was born on September 17, 1945 to Herman and Susie Mae Moore Hooks in Tyler, TX. He was a member of the Sheppard Street Church of Christ and worked at Pilgrims Pride Industries for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Victor Hooks.

Arthur is survived by a daughter, Lawanda Askew Hooks of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Harold Ray Hooks Sr. and wife Mary of Longview, and Willie Herman Hooks and wife Mari of Lone Star; sisters, Ruby Faye Bell of Tyler, Doris Gray of Fort Worth and Ruby Jewel Minter of Mt. Pleasant; very special friends, Clyde and Troyce Grant and Judy Green of Mt. Pleasant; 10 grandchild and 21 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Curry-Welborn funeral home. Interment to follow at North Chapel Cemetery.
