Barry Summerlin

Barry Zane Summerlin, age 84, passed away on February 18, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 1, 1936 to Leslie and Opal Crafts Summerlin in Dike, TX.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Vernon City Cemetery on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM. There is no formal visitation scheduled.

Barry was married for 65 years to the love of his life Betty Joyce Oliphant Summerlin. He was retired from Lone Star Steel after 33 years of service.

Preceding him death are his parents, son, Joey Summerlin and brother Jimmie Summerlin. He is survived by his wife Betty Summerlin; son, Stephen Summerlin; brother, Kenneth Summerlin, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
