Burton Honney

Burton Honney, age 80, passed away on January 2, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant, TX. He was born on January 9, 1940 in Plattsburgh, NY to Herman and Kathleen Besaw Honney.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burton served in the Navy and was a proud veteran. He worked as a Fireman in Springfield, VT for many years before retiring. After retiring from being a firefighter, he worked as a prison guard in New Boston, TX.

Burton is survived by his daughter, Maria Fanning and husband Stephen; children, Randy Spencer, Robin Olds, Karen Pearsons, daughter, Brenda Honney Temple; Maria’s mother, Edie Spencer; granddaughter, Danielle Harris and husband Scott; great grandchildren, Paycas and Pierce; sisters, Wilma Clough, Linda Hathaway, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathleen Pecor, and brother Herman Honney.
