Carolyn Johnson

Carolyn Marie Johnson, age 73, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Mt. Pleasant. Gravesite Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Gladewater Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
Carolyn was born on June 25, 1944 in Mt. Pleasant TX, to William "Bill" and Pearl Allen Johnson, she graduated from Mt. Pleasant high School class of 63. She worked for Mastercraft, and then later retired from Wal-Mart after 22 years. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and could tell you all kinds of stories, she could have wrote a book about the adventures of Wal-Mart. She leaves behind her life partner of 44 years, Myrna M. Fredericksen of Mt. Pleasant, her Boston Terrier "Abby", as well as her sister, Janell Johnson Smith and her husband K.C. of Talco TX., Step-sister Dixie Thedgill of Pittsburg TX., Half-brothers; Ricky Johnson and wife Sherry Rankin Johnson of Mt. Pleasant TX., and Sammy Johnson and wife Melba of Winfield TX., and a half-sister Gail Johnson of Texarkana TX., nieces Kristy Lemert and husband Ben, and Tammy Elliott and husband Ray, and nephew Michael Smith, of Talco TX., as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" and Pearl Johnson, one infant brother, and one infant sister, a nephew, Keith Smith, and niece, Rachael Lockaby.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
