Denise Sterling-Hall

A memorial service for Denise Sterling Hall will be held at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 2:30pm.

Denise Sterling Hall of Mt. Pleasant, Texas passed from this life on Friday, February 17, 2023, at her home. Denise was born on April 2, 1953, in Childress, Texas to Charles William Sterling Sr. and Ruth Jaunell Free Sterling. She spent a lot of her adult years living and working in the Dallas area. She lived in California and worked for the Orange County School District. She also lived in Las Vegas, NV where she worked as a card dealer at a casino. She moved to Mt. Pleasant, Texas in 1995. She lived on her land in the country and worked for Lowe’s Warehouse in Mt. Vernon, Texas. Denise was a tractor driving, chain saw wielding, wood splitting, and house remodeling powerhouse. Anytime her family needed help, Denise was there. Her selflessness and generosity were amazing.

She is survived by her daughters, Crystal Neagle of Louisiana and Jessica Hall of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; grandchildren, Savanna Lightcap of Maryland, Haley Hall of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Sean Green of Louisiana, and Jacob Wilabay of Mississippi; great-grandchildren, Eli Hall, Liberty Hall, and Kyler Hall of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; sister, Kimberly Sterling, aka Best Friend, of Bogata, Texas; brothers, Charles Sterling, Jr. of Sherman, Texas, and Anthony Sterling of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and numerous cousins.

She is also survived by her constant companion, Billy Bob, aka lap dog, and her other two dogs Tootsie and Lucky. As well as her special friends Mike and Terry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruth Sterling; nephews, Patrick Ybarra and Nick Ybarra; and numerous other relatives.

Denise will be sorely missed by all and forever in our hearts.
