Dorothy Agan

Dorothy Agan, age 83, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Titus Regional Medical Center. Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 P.M., Monday, April 1, 2013 at Union Hill Cemetery with Pastor Mike Kimmel officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3 P.M. prior to the service at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. James Pearce, Patrick Pearce, Cody Skidmore, Michael Agan, Tony Agan and Chris Agan will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Scarborough and her friends at S.C.C. Services are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Agan was born on October 20, 1929 in Bartlesville, OK, the daughter of Robert Young and Hazel Snodgrass. She married Charles V. "Pat" Agan on June 2, 1951 in Miller County, AR. He preceded her in death in 1982. She was very active at the Senior Citizens Center in Mount Pleasant.
She is survived by a son, John Pat and wife Kayla of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Peggy Jean Pearce and husband James of Mount Pleasant; eight grandchildren, James Pearce whom is serving in the United States Air Force of Cheyenne, WY, Patrick Pearce of Mount Pleasant, Michael Agan and wife Crissy of Elkhart, Tony Agan of Mount Pleasant, Chris Agan of Tyler, Danny Agan of Longview, Cody Skidmore whom is serving in the United States Navy and wife Karen of Jacksonville, FL and Susan Chiles and husband Erik of Vilseck, Germany; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Charlie Young and wife Tommie of Sugar Hill; a brother-in-law, Ellis Brown of Sugar Hill and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Joe David Agan and a sister, Mary Jon Brown.
Memorials may be made to the Mount Pleasant Senior Citizens Organization or to the Cypress Basin Hospice.
