Faye Carter-White

Faye Marie Carter White, age 76, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 in Tyler Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday June 6, 2013 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Nevill's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Though her struggles were difficult in the last few years, Faye remained an inspiration of love and encouragement to those who knew her. She was born on February 12, 1937 in Sweetwater TX to Archie L. Carter and Lydia (Lorene) Carter Nichols. She married Jimmy Dale White on August 25, 1953 in Odessa TX. A faithful member of the Northridge Church of Christ and the women's bible study class.
Faye is survived by her mother Lydia L. Nichols of N. Richland Hills, her husband Jimmy White, of Mt. Pleasant , her children; Shane White and wife Peggy of Dangerfield, Randy White and wife Penny of The Woodlands, Shonna Soderqvist and husband Bo of Corpus Christi. Grandchildren; Brent White, Randi Ann White, Nick Wymyczak, Georgia Faye White, Bo Shane Soderqvist, Tyrel Soderqvist, Ian Soderqvist, Pernilla Soderqvist, Shane and Malisa Harrell and Dana Belk , and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters, Patsy Andress of N. Richland Hills, Gayle Smith of Abilene, and a brother Dwayne Carter of Ft. Worth TX; numerous cousins, aunts and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Archie L. Carter and her step-father, Pete Nichols.
Memorials may be made to the Northridge Church of Christ Missionary trip funds.
