Freida Ann Easley transitioned from this life into her eternal home on January 30, 2022 at her home in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Freida was born April 3, 1942 in Daingerfield, Texas to Fred and Verda Nell Tigert. She loved being outdoors taking care of the trees and flowers in her yard. She baked the best sweets and she loved her family dearly. Freida will be remembered as the best Wife, Mom, Gram, Frito, Sister, Aunt, and Friend you will ever have! Gram was just so awesome!
Freida and S.L. owned a grocery business for many years before they started their trailer business. She was an upstanding member of the community and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Freida is survived by her daughter, Sharon Tosh (Richard) of Ft. Worth, Texas; son, Jerry Matthews (Lisa) of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; daughter, Sheila Baker of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; son, Brent Easley (Erika) of Waco, Texas; son, Kent Easley (Elaine) of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; step-daughter, Janie McDaniel Easley of Klondike, Texas; step-son, Jackie Easley (Connie) of Carthage, Texas; step-son, Bruce Easley (Earl) of Meadow Lakes, Texas; brother, Maurice Tigert (Rita) of Daingerfield, Texas; sister, Mary Nell Ware of Tyler, Texas; sister, Venita Robertson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; grandchildren, Brandi Korte (Nick), Jason Adams (Heather), Trey Tosh, Amber Wood, Linzie Stutts (Brent), Lauren Graves (Joe Ben), Lacee Bartram (Sammy), Nikki Cameron, Rikki LaCaze (Zane), Kasey Easley, Austin Easley, Madison Easley Craig, and Lilly Easley Craig; grandchildren at heart, Blake Baker, Jace Baker, and Trey Baker; step-grandchildren, Wendy Cox (Donald), Stephen Easley (Cathy), Ginger Minton (David), Shawn Powell, and Samantha McDaniel Moore (Joey); 27 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; special friends, Donald and Molly Clostio and family.
Freida was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, S.L. Easley; mother, Verda Nell Stroman; father, Fred Tigert; step-father, Otis Stroman; grandson, Ashley Domino; step-grandson, Shane Powell.
Visitation will be held at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home on February 5, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Her graveside service will be held at Bridges Chapel Cemetery on February 6, 2022 at 1:00pm.
