George Goodson

George Neely Goodson passed away at the age of 81 on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Groesbeck, TX. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Robert "Bobby" N. Spencer officiating. Interment will be at Winfield Cemetery.
George was born on May 04, 1935 to Wylie and Libbie Goodson in Sulphur Springs, Texas and married his wife Jerry on May 1, 1983. George graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1953 where he was voted "best all-around boy". George was a supervisor at Overhead Door for twenty plus years and served on the Winfield City Council.
He is survived by his wife Jerry Goodson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wylie and Libbie Goodson, brothers W.F. Goodson and Joe Goodson, his sister Skeeter Goodman, and his son Eddie Walker.
