Haley L. Sowell, 77, peacefully passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at his home in Mt. Pleasant, TX. He is survived by his partner and best friend, Bobbie Mathis, by his sister, Emilie Harlow and his seven children and their families, Jack Sowell, Dorothea "Baby" Montoya, Sidney Sowell, Cathy Tucker, Walter Sowell, Jessica Davis and Ryan Sowell, and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, Hulet L. Sowell, mother, Estelle (Harris) Sowell, by his sisters, Margie Vaughn and Joanne Bentley and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00pm at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, TX followed by a grave site service at the Avery Cemetery in Avery, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations are made to The Gideons International
