Harvy Sass

August 30, 1939 — April 5, 2013

Harvy John Sass, age 73, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013 at his residence. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 8, 2013 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with John Mullens officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 P.M. prior to the service at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Wesley McCollum, Eddie Hines, Toby Davis, Emerson Kratz, Dr. M. Singaperumal and Austin Decker will serve as pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Mr. Sass was born on August 30, 1939 in Allamahee, Iowa, the son of Charles and Eugenia Grace Ralson Sass. He served in the United Stated Air Force from 1961-1965. He was a member of the Good Times Limited Square Dance and was a volunteer at the Cookville Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Sass of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Jenell Lee Butler and husband Steven of LaRue, TX; two sons, Adam Gene Decker and wife Tracie of Mount Vernon and Timothy John Sass and wife America of Belluvue, Nebraska; one sister; five brothers and two brothers-in-law.
Memorials may be made to the Good Times Square Dance Club or the Cookville Volunteer Fire Department.
