Howard Ray (Butch) Hunt of Mount Pleasant, TX, formerly of Waxahachie, TX, was promoted to Heaven Thursday, December 11, 2014 Funeral Services will be held on Monday,December 15, 2014 at 1 P.M. at the First Assembly of God in Maypearl TX., with interment to follow at Oak Branch Cemetery in Waxahachie Tx. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. He was born February 19, 1940 to Burk and Dorothy Barker Hunt in Ranger, Texas. He lost his father in WW II, December 3, 1943 At the age of 11, after being healed of blindness, he and his mother accepted Jesus as their Savior. After meeting the love of his life when he was 15, he married Sharon Lee Davis in 1960. A pattern maker by trade, he was an expert woodworker. Throughout his life he was known as one always willing to share the gospel and one who loved deeply, both his family and those who became family in spirit. His greatest delight was serving others, especially by fixing his famous breakfasts. He is preceded in death by his parents, Burk and Dorothy Hunt, and his brother, Jimmy Coleman. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon, daughter and son-in-love, Lisa and Mark Ellermann of Mt Pleasant, brothers and sisters-in-law, Nancy Davis, Rev. David and Linda Kent, and James and Renee Davis, grandchildren and lights of his life, Mark Allen and Michal Ellermann of Ozona, Kristin Ellermann of Shanghai, China, Kayla and Cory Pitts of Richmond, Ray and Beverly West, of Mt Pleasant, along with Great-grandchildren Emery and Clara Ellermann, Aniyah and Courtney Asagba, Liam West and Baby Pitts. He leaves a long list of cherished friends, nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss his constant supply of love, breakfast, four wheelers and bicycles.
