Iva Maydelle Renfroe

Iva Maydelle Renfroe, age 93, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, strength, and devotion to family.

Born in the Year of Our Lord and Saviour, Christ Jeuss, April 29 Nineteen-Hundred and Thirty-Three to Virgil and Johnnie Applewhite. Iva lived a life marked by compassion, resilience, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose kindness and gentle spirit touched countless lives.

On July 6, 1951, she married the love of her life, Billy Jack Renfroe. Together they built a strong and loving family, creating a home filled with faith, laughter, and cherished memories. Their marriage was a beautiful example of enduring love and commitment.

Iva was a loving mother to Billy Charles Renfroe deceased, his wife; Denise Renfroe, Robert Roy “Buddy” Renfroe of Oxnard CA, and James Bryant “Jimbo” Renfroe deceased. Her greatest joy came from nurturing her family and watching it grow through the generations.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Billy Jack Robert “Beau” Renfroe deceased, Crystal and husband Travis Wilkerson of Mt Pleasant TX, Robert and wife Rachel Renfroe of LaOtta IN, Levi Renfroe of Mt Pleasant TX, Domonic and wife Hannah Renfroe of Benbrook TX, and James Bryant Jr and wife Elizabeth Renfroe of New Boston TX. She was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Iva was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Virgil and Johnnie Applewhite; her husband, Billy Jack Renfroe; her sons, Billy Charles Renfroe and James Bryant “Jimbo” Renfroe; and her grandson, Billy Jack Robert “Beau” Renfroe. 

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Martine Applewhite of Fort Worth, TX and preceded by her younger brothers, Homer and Larry Leon Applewhite 

Those who knew Iva will remember her warm smile, generous heart, steadfast strength, and unconditional love. She possessed a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Her wisdom, grace, and loving spirit will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.

While her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing that the love she shared so freely lives on in each of them. Her legacy is one of faith, family, perseverance, and unconditional love.

She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
