He is survived by his wife, Emelia Zuniga; children, Martin Zuniga, Juana Zuniga, Jose Manuel Zuniga, Ascencion Jr. Zuniga, Rosario Zuniga, Ana Zuniga, and Angel Zuniga; and his siblings, Pablo Zuniga and Esteban Zuniga.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Teodoro and Refujio Zuniga; his son, Guadalupe Zuniga, and his siblings, Maria Carmen Zuniga, Ignasia Zuniga, Ramon Zuniga, Guadalupe Zuniga, Antonio Zuniga, Angela Zuniga, Maria Refugio Zuniga, and Ignasio Zuniga.
