James Trammell

James Edward Trammell of Mount Pleasant passed away on Thursday May 10th, 2018 in DeRidder, LA at the age of 77. Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 15th at 10 am at the Monticello Cemetery in Monticello, Texas. Service will be held under the direction of Curry Welborn Funeral Home. James was born on July 17th, 1940 in Athens, Texas to James(Jim) and Mildred Trammell. James worked as a meter reader with TP&L in Palestine before moving to Mount Pleasant. After moving to Mount Pleasant, James married Debbie and he work at TXU Winfield mines North and South as a dozer operator till retiring in the 90's. After retirement, James and his wife, Debbie, were owner operators of Heartfelt Designs downtown Mount Pleasant and Trammell Trucking. James is survived by his mother Mildred of Ava, Missouri, sister Sammie Martin of Ava, Missouri, sister Sue Teetz of Fairfield, Texas, and one brother, Robert Trammell of Dallas, Texas. His children, Daughter Debbie and Paul Thomason of Palestine, Texas, son Jimmy Trammell of Magnolia, Arkansas. Son Terry and Shelly Trammell of DeRidder, LA, son David and Jerri Taylor of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Renne and Michael Charlton and Lance Taylor. James was known as (Paw) to his 9 grandchildren; Katie, Kassie, Randy, Kalynn, Kenli, Terrance, Remington, Ty, Brice, and 7 great grand children who he loved and cherished. James is preceded in death by his father Jim Trammell and his wife Debbie Trammell
