Jose Ruben Ibarra

A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Jose "Ruben" Ibarra will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Blodgett Cemetery. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Ruben are invited to attend and pay their respects.

Jose "Ruben" Ibarra, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 22, 2023, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 81. He was born on August 12, 1941, in Juan Aldama Zacatecas, Mexico, to Elisa Ibarra and Jose Chavez.

Ruben will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children: Maggie Ibarra, Ruben Ibarra, Stella Ibarra, and her spouse Leonel Rodriguez, as well as his step-son Aaron Evans. He was a cherished grandfather to Jerry Ibarra, Jesenia Ibarra, Abby Ibarra, Tiffany Ibarra Henderson, Roy Ibarra, Elisa Ibarra Jenkins, Lisa Ibarra Rodriguez, Gracie Ibarra, Leoneal Rodriguez Ibarra, Ragon Evans, and Zoe Evans. He is also survived by his sisters, Bertha Ibarra and Lucina Ibarrra D' Guzman, eleven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to express appreciation for his special caregiver Elaine Burnett.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elisa Ibarra, his father, Jose Chavez, his first wife, Carmella Ibarra, his second wife, Eva Wagner Ibarra, his sons Roy Ibarra and Ernie Ibarra, as well as his grandsons Juan Jose Angel Ibarra and Ernie Ibarra Jr. Additionally, Ruben is preceded in death by his brother, Mario Ibarra, and his sister, Estella Ibarra.
