Joyce Lane

Graveside service for Joyce Lane, 91, of Mt. Pleasant will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday September 26th at Neville’s Chapel with Bro. Tommy Ogelsby officiating and Karson Baggett, Ethan Baggett, Jaden Castaneda, Paul Skelton, Jr. Castaneda, and Nathan Baggett serving as pallbearers. Joyce passed peacefully at home on September 22, 2026.

Joyce Lane was born on November 7, 1934 in Troup, TX, to Charles and Berta Gee. Joyce was married to Luther Lane on July 16, 1951. She was a homemaker and also worked and retired from the Mt. Pleasant Daily Tribune. The couple were members of South Jefferson Baptist Church for over 40 years.

Joyce is survived by her daughters; Gloria Dyer and Rose Morgan. Her grandchildren: Daniel Lane, Kisha Moon, Nathan Bagget, Jared Lane, and Amy Castaneda.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Luther Lane and son Michael Lane.

Joyce was an amazing and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She will be missed tremendously.
