Joyce Dean McCollum Taylor, age 82, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on May 25, 2015. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Winfield Cemetery under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Joyce was born on September 9, 1932 to Charlie D. and Eunice I. Bullard McCollum. She married her high school sweetheart William E. Taylor on December 24, 1947. She was a homemaker and a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church for 50 Years.
She is survived by her daughter Judy Tinsley and husband Bob of Mt. Vernon, two sons; Charles Taylor and wife Donna of Winnsboro, and Ronnie Taylor of Mt. Vernon, five grandchildren; Rene Charlton and husband Michael of Elgin SC, David Taylor and wife Jeri of Mt. Pleasant, Lance Taylor of Tyler, Stephanie Whitlow and husband Kirk of Justin TX, Cory Taylor and wife Sami of Keller TX, six great-grandchildren; Tye Charlton, Bryce Charlton, Kalynn Taylor, Kenli Taylor, Samuel Taylor and Joely Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Eunice McCollum husband, William Taylor, sister, Doris Spears, two Brothers; Jerry McCollum and Paul McCullom and her grandson William Chad Taylor.

The Taylor family would like express a warm heartfelt Thank you to Dr. Syed and all of the 3rd floor nurses and staff, Heart to Heart Hospice for taking great care of Joyce, Betty Crooks, and their church family at Highland Park, O.M. and Karen Adams, Sandra Smith, Carolyn Moore and all of our other dear friends for the Fellowship, food and prayers in our difficult time.
