Graveside service for Krista Lynette Gibson Shackelford, age 47, of Mount Pleasant, Texas, will be held on Sunday, August 30th, 2026, it is a private service, with Jeremie Maxwell officiating and Andrew Derrick, Trevor Beckham, Trey Clark, Tim Brenton, Nathan Ball, and Colten Pryor serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at 5:00-8:00 P.M. Mrs. Shackelford passed away on August 26th, 2026 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Krista Lynette Gibson Shackelford was born January 5, 1979, in Dallas, Texas. Krista married the love of her life, Ronnie Shackelford Sr., on March 11th, 2017 in Pittsburg, Texas.

Krista is survived by her husband, Ronnie Shackelford Sr. of Mount Pleasant, Texas, parents Mat & Ludy Gibson of Cookville, Texas, Charles & Theresa Arrington of Dallas, Texas, Children Maggie Potter Beckham (Trever) of Cookville, Texas, Mat Potter (Kinley) of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Step son, Ronnie Shackelford Jr. of Cookville, Texas, and bonus daughter, Erica Mamer (Ethan) of Maude, Texas, , Grandsons Russell Riley, and Ryder Beckham, Sister Christina Maxwell (Jeremie) of Fort Worth, Texas, brother Charles R. Arrington Jr. (Lindsey) of Richardson, Texas, and bonus brother, Andrew Derrick, of Bardwell, Texas, Nieces and nephews, Arlo, Evie, & Logan Arrington, special cousin/ best friend, Jennifer Adkinson, and lots of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Bill & Charlie Jo Adkinson, John & Mary Lou Gibson, James & Dolores Arrington, and Sue Arrington.
