Marvin Walker

Marvin Michel (Catfish) Walker, age 58, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be held on Sunday September 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M at the funeral home.
Marvin was born on October 29, 1956 in Coleman, TX to Merlin and Eva Webb Walker. He married Edith Rawls on October 16, 1978, in Hugo, OK and was a heavy machinery operator.
He is survived by his wife Edith Walker of Mt. Pleasant, his son Michael Walker of Mt. Pleasant, his daughter Jennifer Walker of Mt. Pleasant, a sister Judy Varner and husband Daniel Logan of Big Sandy, three sister in-laws; Shirley Dacus of Mt. Vernon, TX, and Billie Harvey and Elizabeth Singleton of New Boston, TX., a brother in law George Rawls of Brownsboro, TX. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and special friends; Dr. Herbert Watkins, Andy and Betty Henly, and Pablo, Juan Zaragoza, and Michael Saenz and Josue Lopez.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Eva Walker, brother and sister-in-law, William (Dub) Walker and wife Dora, three sisters; Eva Joyce McClung, Virginia Walker, and Coreen Holbrook and several nieces and nephews.
