Mary Earlene (Richards) Hudgens

Mary Earlene (Richards) Hudgens peacefully departed from this life on Friday, December 16, 2022. Mary was born in Bloomington, Illinois on March 29, 1938, to parents Julius Edgar and Mary Ellen (Goodin) Richards. She was the youngest of four children. She married the love of her life Franklin Harold (Corky) Hudgens on September 6, 1956, and they spent 55 wonderful years together.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Pamela K. Hasty and husband Richard D. Hasty; son, Bruce L. Hudgens and wife Susan C. Caputo; five grandchildren, Jeremy R. Hasty, Rebecca L. Hasty, Nicholas A. Hudgens, Daniel A. Hudgens, Natalie C.M. Hudgens; and one great-grandson, Reiner L. King.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her three brothers.

Mary enjoyed road trips with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing dominoes. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will forever remain in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
