Melisa Ann Alegria, age 57, of Talco, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026 in Pittsburg, Texas.

Melisa Ann Alegria was born on May 8, 1969 to Juan Ojeda Alegria and Isabel Garcia in Alice, Texas. She worked as a caregiver. She was an amazing, sweet and caring mother, grandmother and friend to all. She always had a smile on her face. Melly loved plants, flowers, doing yard work and mowing, as well as spending time with her grandkids. She also loved sitting outside and watching hummingbirds with her cold coke with salted peanuts in it. Lover of mystery/murder docuseries and sci-fi movies. She enjoyed going to get her toes done.

Melisa is survived by her children; Melinda Barbosa and Amanda Barbosa, her brothers; George Alegria and Juan Ojeda Alegria Jr., and her grandchildren; Liliana Yepez, Tobias Yepez, Houston Yepez, Aziere Moore, and Kota Mchorse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Ojeda Alegria and Isabel Garcia, and her daughter, Maranda Barbosa.
