Michael Pitcher

Michael Andrew Pitcher l was born October 11 1958 in Grangeville Idaho to Alcine and Darvin Pitcher I. Michael was raised in Idaho and Montana. Michael spent his life devoted to serving others as a healthcare provider/first responder since the age of 19. Michael was a Licensed Degreed Paramedic for more than 20 years and a Registered Nurse specializing in 911/ ED and Pediatrics. He especially loved his years working in the Texas Children's Hospital Emergency Room in Houston, Texas. In 2009 Michael retired from Nursing/EMS due to heart problems. Michael was a lifelong Seventh Day Adventist and served as an Ordained Deacon . He loved The Lord, his family, his Peruvian and Appaloosa Horses and his dogs. Michael peacefully entered his Lord's rest on March 20, 2014 with his wife Kathy Ann and his beloved Service Dog Shiver at his side comfortably in his bed at home. He joins his brother Daniel and their Mother Alcine in the Lord's rest . He was a very proud father to Darvin Pitcher II, Jennifer Pitcher and Andrew Pitcher and Daughter of the Heart Carly Stringer. A devoted Grandfather to Grandsons Prestin, Isaiah, and his namesake Michael Andrew Pitcher ll and Granddaughter of the Heart Melody Mae Stringer. Michael will be greatly missed as a husband, a father, a grandfather and a friend. Services will be on the Sabbath of Saturday April 5th at approximately 1 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Seventh Day Adventist Church. In lieu of flowers or gifts we ask that donations be made to the The Wounded Warrior Project, TEXSAR, Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation or the Charity of your choice.
