Myra Parker-Perkins

Myra Parker Perkins, age 73, of Mount Pleasant passed away Monday December 3, 2012 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Flat Creek Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Tilley, Robert Werline, Hud Parker, Michael Andrews, Raymond Roden, Mark Chreene and Ricky Hernandez. Visitation will be held from 1-2 P.M. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Perkins was born January 23, 1939 in Hughes Springs, TX, the daughter of O. C. Parker and Flora Mae Hargett. She married Joe Perkins on July 23, 1975. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by six children, Karla Conrad and husband Craig of Lake Jackson, Kim Brock of Rowlett, Cindy Ingram and husband Tim of Mount Pleasant, Amy Scruggs of Rockwall, Roger King of Mount Pleasant and Brian Perkins of Mount Pleasant; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ima Brown and husband Bill of Midlothian and Mary Ann Roden and husband Ray of Mesquite and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, JR Parker.
