Odell Riggs

Odell Riggs, age 86, of Mt.Pleasant passed away Monday, December 31, 2012, at the Titus Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at the Bridges Chapel Cemetery with Jarrod Shelton, Jeff Shelton, Nolan Martin, Bryan Noel, Bo Henley and Bob King and Shane Shelton serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Tuesday January 1, 2013 from 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Riggs was born October 3, 1926 in Honey Island, TX, the daughter of Charles Barney Riedinger and Eva Miriam Hester. She married Oliver Troy Riggs in Woodville, TX on February 19, 1944. He survives.
Other survivors include, a son, Charles Riggs and wife Kay of Irving; two daughters, Kim Johnson and husband Ronny of Wickes, AR and Christa Martin and husband Paul of Celina; eight grandchildren, Kaylene Noel and husband Bryan of Carrolton, Ashlyn Riggs of Irving, Shane Shelton and wife Brandy of Mena, AR, Jarrod Shelton and wife Amber of Mesquite, Jeffery Shelton and wife Shaleko of Lockesburg, AR, Nolan Martin of Dallas, Rachel Martin of Celina and Rebeckah Martin of Celina; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Riedinger.
