Patricia “Pat” Ann Roach, age 92, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, passed peacefully in her cherished home on Sunday, May 31, 2026, surrounded by those she loved. Born on December 6, 1933, in Cason, Texas, to Dess and Belle (Viane) Rich, Pat was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth touched all who knew her.
On January 21, 1950, at just sixteen, Pat married her soulmate, Charlie Newton Roach, Jr. Together, they shared sixty-three years of unwavering devotion, laughter, and love – a partnership that was the foundation of her family’s happiness. Pat dedicated twelve years to Texas Instruments in Irving, Texas, manufacturing resistors, before settling in Mt. Pleasant. There she embarked on a remarkable thirty-year journey at Guaranty Bond Bank, where her kindness and steadfast spirit built lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike. Her commitment to work and family kept her active until age seventy-three, a testament to her energy and love for life.
Pat’s independence and gentle determination shone brightly—well into her nineties, she could be found riding her lawn mower, tending her garden, and caring for her beautiful roses and flowers. She delighted in friendly games of cards and Rummikub with her friends. She enjoyed completing puzzles with the grandchildren. Her days were enriched by the fellowship she found at Concord Baptist Church. For Pat, family was everything. The joy she felt in the presence of her grandchildren/great-grandchildren brought a special sparkle to her eyes, and her heart overflowed with love for each member of her family. Her generosity, compassion, and golden spirit will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she graced.
In her final days, Pat was gently cared for by her devoted family and the loving Chambers Hospice Nurses, whose kindness brought comfort and peace. Her family is forever grateful for the tenderness and honor with which they served Pat.
Pat’s boundless kindness, gentle strength, and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Her memory will be treasured, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Pat leaves behind her daughter, Diane Roach; her brother, James Earl Rich, her grandchildren, Chris (and spouse Erin) Roach, Melissa (and spouse Jason) Cook, Justin (and spouse Lauren) Hemingway, Steven Hemingway, and Tommy (and spouse Jackee) Applewhite; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charlie Newton Roach, Jr.; her parents, Dess and Belle (Viane) Rich; her son, Michael David Roach, her sisters; Marie Rust and Frances Youman, and her brother, Donald Rich.
