Bob was born in Dallas, Texas on Feb. 8, 1950. He moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1977 where he met the love of his life Jean, who soon became his wife of 46 years. He was a Plant Mechanic at Luminant for 30 plus years where he also served as Chief of the Plant Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department.
He was an active member of the Family Worship Center in Mt. Pleasant where he served in many roles including Sound Director and Maintenance Man because he was well known as "Mr. Fix-It". If you needed the job done, call Ol' Bob.
Some of Bob's favorite past times were fishing, woodworking, and "going to the meetin'" in his shop where he "spit & whittled" and played cards with his friends and neighbors. He also loved being the "Mr. Fix-It" for the neighborhood.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, neighbor and friend. He loved the Lord with all his heart and is now safe in the Arms of the Father.
Bob left behind a great legacy, and he was loved and respected by many. He was one of kind and his memory will live forever in our hearts.
Well done "Cookie", good and faithful servant!
