Ruben was born on October 25, 1950 in Mexico to Juan Antonio Vargas and Hermelinda Orozco. Ruben married Maria Bautista on December 12, 1976.
He is survived by wife Maria Vargas; son, Daniel Vargas and Ruben Vargas Jr.; daughter, Leticia Vargas Guerrero; Grandchildren, Aileen Vargas, Emily Vargas, Destiny Guerrero, Angel Guerrero Jr., Juan Vargas Jr., Rylan Vargas, Royce Vargas, Santiago Vargas.
He was preceded in death by parents.
