Sam Larkin "S.L." Easley passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Mt.
Pleasant, TX. S.L. was born on June 14, 1930 in Hagensport, TX to Sam Larkin Floyd Duty and Vannie
McCuller Easley. He married the love of his life, Freida Ann Tigert Easley on October 12, 1966 in
Galveston, they were married for fifty years. S.L. was a fun loving husband, father, grandfather and great
grandfather, always one to make others laugh and could sell anything. He was a grocery business owner
for many years after which he started building and selling trailers before his retirement. He was a hard
worker all of his life doing whatever it took to take care of his family. He was an upstanding member of
the community and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. Graveside Services will be held,
Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00A.M. at Bridges Chapel Cemetery (weather permitting) if not services
will be at the Curry-Welborn Chapel with Stephen Easley, Shawn Powell, Shane Powell, Kasey Easley,
Trey Tosh, Blake Baker, Nick Korte, Chad Procter, Joe Ben Graves and Brent Stutts, serving as
Pallbearers, and Honorary Pallbearer and Heavenly Greeter, William Ashley Domino. Visitation will be
held on Friday evening August 25, 2017 from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M. at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
S.L. is survived by his loving wife Freida Easley of fifty years, his children; son Jackie Easley and wife
Connie, son Bruce Easley and spouse Earl Isbell, daughter Janie McDaniel, daughter Sharon Tosh and
husband Richard, son Jerry Matthews, daughter Sheila Baker, son Kent Easley and Elaine, son Brent
Easley and Erika, grandchildren; Wendy Cox and husband Donald, Stephen Easley and wife Cathy,
Ginger Minton and husband David, Shawn Powell, Shane Powell, Samantha McDaniel Moore and
husband Joey, Brandi Korte and husband Nick, Jason Adams and wife Heather, Trey Tosh, Amber Wood
and husband Craig, Linzie Stutts and husband Brent, Lauren Graves and husband Joe Ben, Lacee
Matthews, Nikki Cameron, Rikki Procter and husband Chad, Kasey Easley, Austin Easley, Madison
Easley Craig, Lilly Easley Craig, grandchildren at heart Blake Baker, Jace Baker and Trey Baker, twenty
nine great grandchildren, and one great - great grandchild, mother-in-law Verda Nell Stroman, numerous
aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and special friends Donald and Molly Clostio and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam Larkin Floyd Duty and Vannie McCuller Easley, and
grandson William Ashley Domino.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to The Ashley Domino FFA Memorial
Scholarship Fund at American National Bank in Mt. Pleasant.
