Socorro Lewis

Family-led Memorial Service for Socorro Lewis, age 95, of Mount Pleasant, Texas will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at 6:00P.M., at 1406 Larkin Ave, Mount Pleasant, Texas 75455.

Socorro (Gutierrez) Lewis was born January 21st, 1931, in Nicaragua, Managua to Carmen Gutierrez. She married John D. Lewis in Los Angeles, California, on May 20th, 1964. Socorro was a cashier at Piggly Wiggly, as well as owned her own cleaning business.

Socorro is survived by her son, Larry Lewis of Mount Pleasant, TX, her granddaughter, Ashley McWhorter and husband Adam McWhorter of Mount Pleasant, TX and her great granddaughters, Ashlyn, Ava, and Alexis of Mount Pleasant, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Lewis, her mother, Carmen Gutierrez, and David Lewis.
