Yvonne "Evett" Pilgrim

Funeral service for Yvonne Evett (Peacock) Pilgrim, age 67, of Mount Pleasant, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Justin Godfrey officiating. Trent Pilgrim, Quinton Pilgrim, Michael Waldrum, Jeremy Pilgrim, and Brad Lennox will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Mrs. Pilgrim passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.

Yvonne Evett (Peacock) Pilgrim was born on October 29, 1957, in Mount Pleasant, Texas to George Peacock and Eva (Cress) Peacock. She married her beloved husband, Gary Lee Pilgrim on August 7, 1975, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Evett worked as a newspaper printer for North Texas Press for many years alongside her husband, Gary.

Evett is survived by her husband, Gary L. Pilgrim, her sons; Trent Pilgrim and Quinton Pilgrim, her granddaughter, Makenzie Pilgrim, her nephews; Jeremy Pilgrim, Allan Gaskin, and Adam Gaskin, her nieces; Jennifer Waldrum and Amanda Gaskin, her sister-in-law, Sherry Pilgrim, and her daughter-in-law, Amber Shay Pilgrim.

She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Brenda Peacock, her sister, Robyn Gaskin Smith, her brother-in-law, Steve Pilgrim, her brother-in-law, Terry Pilgrim, her mother-in-law, Josephine Pilgrim, and her father-in-law, CW Pilgrim.
