Arley Clay Elrod Sr., age 61, of Clarksville, TX passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Focus Care of Clarksville. He was born on January 15, 1959 in Clarksville, TX to William (Top) and Ethel Elrod, where he resided most of his life on Elrod Hill near his beloved family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting unique finds of all kinds, and spending time outdoors with friends, his treasured dogs, and family.

Arley Clay is survived by his mother, Ethel Elrod of Clarksville; his children, Arley Clay Elrod Jr. and wife Amy of Mount Calm, daughter, Stephanie Elrod Robinson and husband Jeremy of Roxton, daughter, Marli Elrod and Dustin Weber of Canyon Lake, and son Michael Johnson of Mount Calm; siblings, William H. (W.H.) Elrod and Krystal Carter of Clarksville, Beth Elrod of Bogata, Patricia (KK) Elrod Plaster and husband Laurence of Bogata. Sabrina Elrod Powell and husband Wade of Bogata; grandchildren, DJ, Brycen, Jayce, Anthony, Callie and Kenzlie, and beloved best friend Butterbean.

He is preceded in death by his father William (Top) Elrod.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the back pavilion under the big trees in Thomas Park on NE 3rd St. in Bogata, TX at 10:00 AM. Honorary Pallbearers include W.H. Elrod, Jayce Elrod, Alvin Lemons, and Donnie Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bogata Volunteer Fire Department in Arley's name. Due to social distancing guidelines, please respect the request of masks being required to protect the health of immediate family members attending with compromised health conditions.
