Bobby Dill Cox, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2020 at his home in Talco, TX. He was born on December 28, 1927 in Ranger, TX to Jessie Cox and Eunice Allen Cox.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Midway Cemetery at 10:00 AM.

Bobby served in the U.S. Army in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1948. He graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston, and was a teacher for the Talco High School from 1961 – 1962, and was a Principal in Sugar Hill.  He also worked for Campbell Soup for many years before retiring. He married the love of his life, Ellen Jane Ottinger Cox in 1960 in Talco, TX.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Jane Ottinger Cox; daughter, Elaine Weaver and husband Sammy; son, J.R. Cox and wife Carole; son Mike Cox and wife Goldie; grandchildren, Jennifer McQueen and husband Randal, Shannon Watson, Dale Watson, Cody Watson, Heather Oliver and husband John, Joshua Cox and wife Anna, Kaitlynn Leggatt and husband Zackery, Hanna Jimenez; great grandchildren, Aaron and wife Julia Watson, Dillion McQueen, Garrett McQueen, Megan Watson, Logan Watson, Jeff Watson, Jerrod Watson, Kayleigh Oliver, Allison Oliver; great-great grandchildren, Skylar Watson and Levi Watson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Cox and Eunice Allen Cox; brother, Gene Cox and wife Martha Cox; sister, Joan Temples.
